Quality checks on biomass

The quality of biomass varies widely and is dependent on several factors, for example the dimensions of the pellets, the moisture content, the calorific value, the ash content and the chlorine and fluorine content.
As a producer, supplier and/or end user you may set down requirements for biomass, or perhaps you are required to meet third party requirements.

QSC offer quality checks on biomass tailored to your specific circumstances. We undertake sampling and can have such samples analysed by an accredited independent laboratory. We will liaise with you to establish precisely which characteristics of the biomass are significant for you, and the frequency of sampling.
You will receive a report on the analysis of the samples, setting out the results of all the relevant tests carried out by the laboratory. These reports can then be used to demonstrate that the relevant sample of biomass meets the specified requirements.
