Independent Sustainability Assessment Value is increasingly being attached to the sustainability of an organisation and its activities. For example there are instances where clients obtaining tenders have given a preference to tenderers with a smaller CO2 footprint or a demonstrably more sustainable approach. As the significance of sustainability increases so the demand for its validation rises. If sustainability is to be a significant factor in the contracting process, it is clearly important that there should be no uncertainty about the accuracy of claims about such matters as the CO2 footprint.
