Flexistores

A flexistore is a capture buffer manufactured in plastic film, using either polyester-reinforced polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyester-reinforced polypropylene film (PP film). Flexistores are used for example for the temporary capture of a variety of liquids, often those with damaging environmental effects.

FlexistoresInspection
A flexistore is manufactured by welding together film strips using a variety of welding methods. QSI can carry out inspections of:
  • the film to be used;
  • the welding work in the factory (in the Netherlands or elsewhere);
  • the leak-tightness of the welded seams;
  • the onsite installation of the flexistore.
The inspection findings will be set out in a report for the client, accompanied by a declaration of conformity if applicable.

Where a client is making a selection between several different suppliers of flexistores, QSI inspectors can carry out company visits to potential suppliers to carry out a quality audit. Our client can then make an informed selection, based on the reports provided. Sampling checks can then also be carried out at the chosen supplier's factory. Specifically, QSI has experience in inspecting jet fuel bladders based on the internationally recognized standard MIL-PRF-32233.
