Floor -wall- hard surfacing
A floor, wall or (external) hard surface will be deemed to be liquid tight where it meets the requirements set out in Dutch CUR/PBV Recommendation 44 (fourth revision).
Problems detected during the inspection of the facility by QSI may be classified as follows:- inadequacy: damage or other irregularity in or on the facility whereby the liquid tightness of the facility is not called into question;
- defect; a defect is an inadequacy which means that the facility is no longer liquid tight.
A report will be drawn up on the basis of the completed inspection, setting out the inspection findings.
Procedure The procedure leading to the issue of a Liquid-tight Facility Declaration is as follows:- Where the facility satisfies the requirements of CUR/PBV Recommendation 44 (fourth revision), QSI will append a Liquid-tight Facility Declaration to the report;
- Where following the inspection the facility is deemed not to be waterproof, the owner must repair the defects observed within a period of six months, and notify this accordingly. A re-inspection of the repaired defects will be carried out following this report. The repaired defects will be deemed to be liquid tight where they comply with CUR/PBV Recommendation 44 (fourth revision). Where following the re-inspection the facility meets the requirements of CUR/PBV Recommendation 44 (fourth revision), QSI will append a Liquid-tight Facility Declaration to the report.
