Flower bulb settlement basins

Growers of flower bulbs are required to capture the water they use for washing bulbs in a so-called settlement basin. The basin must be constructed in accordance with the Guidance on the Installation, Management and Monitoring of Settlement Basins for the Flower Bulb Sector.

Inspection
QSI are authorised to inspect settlement basins. Once it is established that the settlement basin meets the specified requirements, QSI will issue a Declaration of Conformity stating that the settlement basin has been constructed and is being maintained in accordance with the applicable requirements.
