Works of engineering construction

"Works of engineering construction" is a term covering all civil engineering structures and installations performing one or more functions in the infrastructure. Examples of works of engineering construction would include timber footbridges, gantries for matrix and other road signage equipment, cycle bridges, culverts, viaducts and massive structures like the new bridge at Brienenoord in the Netherlands.
The managers of such works of engineering construction (Local and Provincial Authorities and Central Government) are responsible for the state of maintenance of such structures. They are required to guarantee traffic safety at all times.

KunstwerkenInspection
At the request of the manager, QSI can inspect the structure to establish its state of maintenance. Such an inspection will consist of a visual inspection, supplemented if required with detailed investigation.
The inspection findings will be set out in a report for the client. The report may also be supplemented with an action plan dealing with the future maintenance of the structure.
