Our accreditations
Market participants need to be sure about the quality of the goods and services supplied. Using a standard, it is possible for example for a supplier to have its product or service assessed objectively or tested by a laboratory or certification or inspection institution.
With a good result, the assessing organisation issues a declaration of conformity for the product or service. This declaration usually consists of a certificate or a declaration. That is why the assessing institution is called a conformity-certifying body.

Oversight of the conformity-certifying body
An accreditation body assesses both the management system and the technical competence of the conformity-certifying body. Furthermore, the accreditation body maintains oversight to guarantee the impartiality and expertise of the conformity-certifying body.
In this way, accreditation increases the transparency of the value of quality marks, certificates and laboratory results.
